About the Position

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to support the human capital strategies across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and associates helping to attract, motivate, and retain talent. This role is critical to supporting the development and execution of Glatfelter’s people plan and driving HR excellence and process alignment with AIG.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the President of Glatfelter Insurance Group, responsibilities of this role include:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary HR contact for Glatfelter Insurance Group associates and managers, providing personnel policy and procedure guidance and resolving issues that may arise.
  • Run the daily functions of the Human Resources department in coordination with AIG HR policies and procedures were applicable.
  • Oversee and administer benefits programs including the 401(k), and the self-insured Associate Health and Welfare Plan. 
  • Help provide coaching and advisory support to business leaders and employees, providing them with development opportunities and ensuring they’re able to meet current and future performance standards.
  • Act as liaison between business leaders and HR to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant, and programs manage risk for sustainable long-term growth.
  • Gaher and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover.
  • Coordinate and manage all talent management initiatives, e.g. annual performance reviews, succession plans, internal mobility, and performance evaluation in close collaboration with AIG HR Talent Management and Business Partner Lead.
  • Maintain employee files and monitor morale and company culture.
  • Partner with AIG HR Business Partner, Compensation, Employee Relations, and HR Centers of Excellence to effectively implement, communicate, manage, and enhance HR programs and initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years HR experience; insurance or financial services industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR processes or experience within an HR Administrative environment.
  • Direct experience in benefit plan administration including 401(k) and self-insured health plans
  • Team player with a hands-on approach to influence the best outcome for the business and employees.
  • Impeccable judgement and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive employee and company data.
  • Strong influence management skills across multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with peers and business partners.
  • Intellectual curiosity and high degree of comfort with data and data analytics.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills.  Ability to synthesize data and create effective presentation materials.
  • Experience operating in a complex and fluid work environment; able to pivot quickly to meet new business needs.
  • Excellent project management, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • PHR/SHRM certification preferred
