We ordered a scanning thermometer and have it if needed but we have not started conducting checks yet.
If we do have to implement it I saw that a good procedure would be to do it as they are coming into the parking lot with them in their vehicle to help keep some distance and probably stagger start times a little bit so the isn’t a “traffic jam”.
We also ordered scanning thermometers but have not implemented a procedure yet. We have been in regular communication with our employees and have asked them to stay home if they show flu like symptoms – especially fever. We have been monitoring employee symptoms at the time clocks at the start of each shift as they come in and we are sending them home if we have reasonable suspicion they are symptomatic. We are considering making the scanner available to Only symptomatic employees to take their own temperature while under our supervision. The supervisor would observe physical distancing from the employee, and would disinfect the scanner when completed.
