Topic:

Emotional intelligence (EQ) – We all succumb to being ruled by our emotions from time-to-time.  It’s part of being human. The key is not allowing ourselves to get stuck in this mode.  Remaining here we become overly frustrated, even agitated by situations and/or people.  Simply put, we are in a rut.  There is good news.  Even when you can’t do or say anything to change difficult events in your life, you always have a say in your perspective of what’s happening.  Even better is that perspective frames your emotions more than the actual event does.  Thus, you will empower yourself to choose the best reaction(s).  This session will educate and inspire the audience on the “how to’s” for practicing self-awareness.

Speaker:

James Carchidi is CEO a.k.a. Chief Enthusiasm Officer of the JFC Staffing Companies, a recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award, a recipient of the West Shore Chamber’s Inspiring Business award, and past finalist for two Entrepreneur of the Year awards.  An avid student in the fields of neuroscience, leadership, organizational development and psychology; James wants to inspire the world to generate greater mental effectiveness, so that people can realize more of their potential on both the professional and personal level.

Committed to giving back, he volunteers for charitable causes and serves on the board at Harrisburg Academy, West Shore Young Professionals, and the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation.
