Keynote Speaker: Kevin Mosser, MD – President and CEO, WellSpan Health
Dr. Mosser was named President of WellSpan Health in 2013 and has been employed with WellSpan Health and its predecessor organizations for more than 30 years. He provides strategic oversight to all of WellSpan’s entities, including five hospitals, a home health agency, more than 700 medical group providers, an extensive ambulatory enterprise and several other health‐related activities. His previous roles with WellSpan Health include that of chief operating officer, senior vice president and president of Gettysburg Hospital, and executive director of the WS Medical Group. Dr. Mosser is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Mosser holds a bachelors’ degree in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Shari Kim, Ph.D., C.A.A.D.C., C.C.T.P is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Susquehanna Valley Community Mental Health Services. Specializing in trauma and addictions, Dr. Kim and her colleagues serve as the first point of contact for mental health services for trafficking survivors in York County, PA. She serves as the Behavioral Health Workgroup Chair for the York County, Human Trafficking Task Force and has collaborated with other community leaders to develop a protocol to streamline access to mental health and addiction treatment services for those who have been trafficked. A 17-year veteran of the mental health field, Dr. Kim also serves as the Regional Co-Lead for Disaster Mental Health Services with the American Red Cross in Southcentral PA and has deployed to three large-scale disasters. In addition to her clinical work, she volunteers her time to consult with the York County Treatment Courts, the Healthy York County Coalition Leadership Council, and as a trainer with the Crisis Intervention Training program for first responders in Adams County, PA. She is currently working to form a disaster response network within the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA), helping to facilitate a partnership between PPA and the American Red Cross to increase the number of Disaster Mental Health responders in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Matthew Howie has been practicing medicine in the York area for 17 years. He currently has three main areas of responsibility. He is the Medical Director for the York City Health Bureau, Director of the York Regional Opioid Collaborative, and serves as a Physician with the Thomas Hart Family Practice at York Hospital. He is the former Medical Director for York Hospital’s Community Health Center. He holds a Medical Degree from the University of Maryland. He is passionate about public health and is interested in advancing initiatives that will have significant impact in the health of the community.
Angie Piel from UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital has been in healthcare communications and marketing in York and Lancaster counties for over two decades. Promoting health and wellness through community volunteer organizations is one of her greatest pleasures. Currently she is the chairperson of the Prevention and Wellness Committee as well as a member of the Executive Committee for the Healthy York County Coalition. In her spare time Angie loves to walk!
Deborah Gogniat has coordinated the Healthy York County Coalition since July 2013. Prior to her current position, Deb spent 14 years with United Way of York County as Campaign Director and Major Gifts Director. She also spent 15 years with Penn State University and Drew University in administration and marketing. Deb holds a baccalaureate degree from Indiana University (Bloomington) and a master’s degree from Villanova University.
Diane S. Harlow serves as the Manager, Employer Based Wellness Services and has extensive experience in Corporate Wellness and Health Promotion. She holds an undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in Education – Adult/ Health Care Emphasis and additional advanced certifications in Corporate Wellness and Project Management. Diane partners with Business Services and Clients to offer a comprehensive personalized approach to worksite wellbeing. Prior to working with WellSpan, Diane was employed at Geisnger Health System as Director of Wellness and offers over 20 years of experience in corporate wellness.
Capstone Speaker: Dr. Michael Diller, PsyD – Director, WellSpan Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Dr. Diller earned his Doctor of Psychology Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. He spent 19 years in clinical practice before joining the WellSpan EAP Team. He is a licensed psychologist and his areas of expertise include children coping with divorce, domestic violence, ADHD, anxiety and depression. Since 2006, he was also a clinical supervisor providing supervision to up to 20 clinicians. He also provided consultation to physicians, representatives from schools and various community agencies.
